Hurghada Hammam and Full Spa Program with Massage
Five hammam programs at a wellness club inside the TK Royal, from the plain Turkish bath to two and a half hour chocolate and double-hammam rituals. Warm steam, a natural-glove scrub, sauna, herbal steam room and jacuzzi, and a full-body massage to finish. Hotel pickup across central Hurghada is included.
Overview
Somewhere around day four, the Red Sea starts to catch up with you. Salt in your hair, sun on your shoulders, a boat trip and a desert night behind you, and a quiet unspecific ache somewhere in your back. Soul Spa Wellness Club sits inside the TK Royal in the InterContinental district of Hurghada, a few minutes from most central hotels, and every program on this page begins in the same room, with heat.
You sit in the hammam and let the warm steam do its slow work until your skin gives up its resistance. Then comes the glove: a full body scrub, brisk and thorough and faintly startling, and a rinse that leaves you feeling several layers lighter. Between treatments the dry sauna, the herbal steam room and the jacuzzi are yours at your own pace. The program always ends the same way, in a quiet room, with a full-body massage.
What separates the five programs is mostly what goes onto your skin, and how long you stay. The Turkish hammam is the plain original, milk mask and foam, around two hours. Cleopatra swaps in coconut soap and adds a face mask; the Moroccan uses coffee soap and a coffee scrub, which smells exactly as good as it sounds. Above them sit two rituals of two and a half hours, split evenly between bath and massage: the Ramses, which puts you through a second hammam as well as the first, and the Chocolate, where the scrub is cocoa and coconut.
None of this is a modern invention. The hammam is how this part of the world has bathed for centuries, heat first, then the scrub, then the long rest, and the sequence has survived because it works. What a hammam program really offers is not a list of treatments but a change of pace: two hours or more in which the schedule is empty, the phone is somewhere else, and the only decision left to make is how much pressure you want.

- Every program ends with a full-body massage, and you agree the style with your therapist when you arrive, at no extra cost. Say what the week has done to you and how much pressure you want. Hot stones is not part of the program; it can be added to your booking for EUR 5.
- Women are treated by female therapists and men by male therapists, on every program and every treatment. This is fixed, and you do not need to request it.
- Treatments are for guests aged 12 and over. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Infants and younger children cannot be treated.
- Appointments run by the hour, with slots at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00. The shorter programs take about two hours from arrival to the last cup of tea, and the two longest take about two and a half, so allow for that when you pick a time.
- Bring swimwear for the hammam, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Robe, slippers, towels and toiletries are provided.
- Eat something light beforehand rather than a full meal, and arrive hydrated. A heavy lunch and a hot steam room do not go together.
- Let us know at the time of booking if you are pregnant, have an allergy, are carrying an injury or have any medical condition, so the therapist can adjust the treatment or advise you.
