You're collected from your hotel and driven the short way to the marina, where your private speedboat is waiting. The engine opens up and Sharm's coastline falls away as you skim across water that shifts from turquoise to deep sapphire — and with a little luck, dolphins arc alongside on the way to Tiran.

At the first reef you slip into water so clear that visibility can reach 45 meters. Ancient coral gardens drop away beneath you, alive with clownfish, angelfish and the occasional cruising ray. Your captain knows exactly where to pause, moving you to a second, quieter reef once you've had your fill of the first — the pace is entirely yours.
