Your day starts with a private transfer from your hotel to the Sharm El Sheikh marina, where a comfortable yacht is waiting. As you cruise into the national park the water turns from turquoise to sapphire. With a qualified instructor at your side you drop in among clouds of anthias, resident turtles and gardens of soft coral - no experience needed. Between dives you snorkel the shallows and moor beside White Island, a bright sandbank that rises straight out of the sea.
Ras Mohammed is Egypt's oldest marine reserve, a protected meeting of two gulfs where the desert ends and one of the richest reef systems on the planet begins.
