Sharm: Sunrise ATV Safari, Bedouin Breakfast & Water Sports
Ride a quad across the Sinai dunes as the sun comes up, share a Bedouin breakfast in a desert tent, then cool off in the Red Sea on banana, tube and glass-bottom boats. Two worlds โ desert and sea โ in a single Sharm El Sheikh morning.
Overview
The Sinai is still dark when you set off, but by the time your quad bike rumbles to life at the edge of the dunes, the horizon is turning gold. This is the desert at its finest hour โ cool, quiet and yours to explore before the day's heat arrives. Over the next five hours you'll cross two of Sharm El Sheikh's greatest landscapes: the ancient sands of the South Sinai and the coral-bright shallows of the Red Sea.
After a safety briefing you open the throttle and race toward the Echo Mountains, sand fanning out behind you as the sunrise sets the ridges alight. Pull up, call out to the rock and hear your own voice ripple back. Then trade speed for stillness โ carve down a golden slope on a sandboard, and sway across the dunes on camelback, the way travellers have crossed this desert for centuries.
Your reward waits in a Bedouin village, where a low tent and a pot of sweet tea welcome you in. Settle onto woven cushions and share a traditional breakfast โ quail eggs, tangy goat cheese, wild honey and warm Bedouin pie โ while your hosts share how life unfolds out here, far from the resorts. Then it's down to the shore, where banana and tube boats send you bouncing across the waves and a glass-bottom boat opens a window onto the Red Sea's coral gardens and darting fish.
You'll be collected from your Sharm El Sheikh hotel in an air-conditioned van and returned the same way, with an expert desert guide and all your equipment taken care of throughout. All that's left to do is set your alarm early โ and let a single morning carry you from the dunes to the deep.
